Overview: Group O has an immediate need for a Data Analyst to join its growing team. This position is primarily responsible for processing and analyzing large volumes of data for a Fortune 10 client.

  • Writing SQL queries in a Teradata environment across multiple platforms
  • Utilization of Excel including pivot tables, graphing and mechanization, fast load
  • Utilization of MS Access including data import/export, query building, information extraction, and mechanization
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting on various internal and external metrics and processes
  • Performing data mining
  • Developing and implementing solutions to gather, process and present required reports
  • Providing SQL/coding help when needed to other departments, recreating current tables with new data sources
  • Other duties as assigned based on needs of the business


  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of complex databases: i.e., database with thousands of data tables and views accessing customers, products, orders, etc.
  • Strong background in data management and analytics
  • Ability to write SQL queries in a large database environment. Must be a strong SQL Coder with Data Mining Skills (Understands complex coding processes, i.e. Joins, Aggregating Data, Building Temp Tables, Formatting Data, and Import & Export Processes)
  • ETL (Extract, Transfer & Load) processing
  • Expert knowledge of aggregating data using complex SQL code. i.e., using functions such as SUM, COUNT, CASE statements, etc.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Access
  • Expert knowledge of Excel Graphs, Charts, Pivot Tables, Power Point, etc.
  • Experience using UNIX, Fast Load, Fast Export, encryption software a plus; as well as experience/knowledge in the Telecommunication industry
  • Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment
  • Must work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels
